It's hosted every Monday upstairs at Piano's by Beth and Gina and you can always guarantee that you will have fun.
Three rounds of ten questions, many tough, some a little easier, covering rock n roll from its beginnings to today. Beth and Gina are awesome hosts, and the fact that they know how to put a good playlist together is an added bonus (think the Black Keys, the Gossip, Sam Cooke, Tom Petty, Nine Inch Nails...). Eclectic but definitely not random!
It's my favourite way to wind down after a tough start of the week at work. The food at Piano's is good and cheap (I am addicted to the nachos at the moment), the seating is comfortable and the teams can be as big as you want to be, although the prize for winning a round is capped at three beers and three shots.
Last week a large crowd of us went and split up into two teams - we ended up competing with each other and it got pretty rowdy. That's the best part in my opinion, especially when you are the only person to get the answer right!
Watch out for my team - the Ludlow Transit Line. We can be pretty lethal when we are on top of our game!
Every Monday from 8-10pm upstairs at Piano's (Ludlow and Stanton). There is karaoke straight after trivia, so after testing your rock n roll knowledge you can showcase your singing skills (or) to the crowd!
